The Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services (MACDDS) has been in existence since 1979. Our mission is to champion inclusive communities through the leadership, collaboration, and education of our member organizations. Our vision is for all people to lead full, meaningful lives as valued members of their communities. The goals of MACDDS are consistently person- and community-centered. MACDDS supports the concept of providing persons with developmental disabilities with individualized, quality services as close to home as possible. MACDDS recognizes and promotes the individuality and autonomy of local county boards in the structure and provision of services within their communities.
MACDDS holds monthly membership meetings, and members are also involved in committee work and special purpose groups to improve services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, MACDDS works with several Affiliated Public Agencies to improve the quality of life of those Missouri citizens with developmental disabilities and creates opportunities that will facilitate communication among major governmental/quasi-governmental agencies that are responsible for the development and implementation of public policy, which affects the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
Note: For the sake of the system, we've marked the SB40 membership as FREE; however, there is a dues structure based on the annual tax levy, and you will invoiced manually.
